St. Martin's Island is 3.1 square miles and is the only coral island in Bangladesh. The small island's 4,000 inhabitants live off fishing, rice, coconut, and dried algae. Resorts are popular on this island due to the natural surrounding coral reef and the beautiful white sand beaches. Some of the coral species on this island cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
