Samana is a peaceable town with brightly colored houses nestled in hillsides filled with coconut trees. Nearby Cayo Levantado has thick forests and scenic beaches. Parque Nacional Los Haïtises is perfect for a boat ride, with jungle-covered islands and mangrove forests.
