Provideniya is located on the northeast side of Chukotka and is approximately one hour from Nome, Alaska. This region, though not filled with shopping or city entertainment, is a beautiful and unforgettable retreat. Coming into Provideniya will take visitors to a deep-water port that is surrounded by treeless mountains and is populated by a blend of cultures including Russian, Chukchi, and Siberian Chukchi. When in town, guests can go to Emma Bay for birdwatching, or tour the Museum of Chukotcka history.
