This historic Old South city boasts a great musical legacy as the birthplace of the blues and, later, home of Elvis Presley. Stroll famous Beale Street, where a statue of W.C. Handy pays tribute to the "Father of the Blues." Also on Beale Street you'll find shops, nightclubs, restaurants, a musical "Walk of Fame" and A. Schwab's Dry Goods Store, in business since 1876. The Center for Southern Folklore documents the traditions of the South and offers films and exhibits about Memphis. Tours of Graceland are popular, as is the historic Peabody Hotel, where spectators gather daily to watch the resident ducks march down a red carpet to the lobby fountain at 11 a.m., then retreat to their penthouse pond at 5 p.m.

Exit onto I-240 N and take exit 31 to merge onto I-40 W toward Little Rock. Take exit 1A for Second St toward Third St and merge onto N 2nd St. Turn right at Winchester Ave, then turn right at N Front St. Turn left at Auction Ave and take another left at Island Dr. Stay right to stay on Island Dr and arrive at 101 Island Dr.
