Bahia de Jiquilisco is a nature paradise and home to the Jiquilisco Bay Biosphere Reserve. The bay itself is surrounded by miles of white sand and beautiful inland mangrove forests. The towns surrounding the bay are primarily fishing villages such as Corral de Mulas and Isla Mendez. Inland, travelers will find endless coconut groves and bird species like gray egrets and pelicans, as wells as various turtle species like the Hawksbill turtle.
