Peru Cruises

To see discounted cruises that visit Peru, use the Find a Bargain box on the left.

Cruises to Peru feature the warm waves of the southern Pacific Ocean, abundant natural beauty and the lingering mystery of its earliest inhabitants, the Incas. Lima is the gateway to Machu Picchu, the "lost city" in the mountains built by the Incas around 1450. Visitors also are drawn to the nature preserves near Paracas Bay and the Ballestas Islands, where sea lions, pelicans and penguins frolic along the coast. Meanwhile, Pisco offers freshly caught seafood and the local beverage of choice, a grape brandy. Passengers seeking a true taste of the country often head for Salaverry and Trujillo, where Peru's colonial past is preserved in colorful homes and grand cathedrals.

  • Peru is featured on South America cruises, which take place from November to March. Peru also is included on some Panama Canal transits, which sail from September through April.

  • Cruise tours to the Galapagos Islands, available year-round, often include a land package in Peru.

  • If you must fly a very long distance to reach your port of departure, we suggest that you arrive at the port city at least one or two days in advance of your Peru cruise. This will give you time to rest and get oriented before boarding the ship. Most cruise lines offer pre-cruise hotel packages.
