Cabo Frio is a beautiful beach city located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, a popular destination for many travelers. Despite being the smallest state in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro's population is Brazil's third largest. The port city itself offers a variety of activities and attractions. Scuba diving is very popular among locals and visitors alike. The marine life in this area is plentiful, and the intersection of southern and northern currents makes for usually mild waters. During some seasons, travelers can catch games of soccer played by the city's team, the Cabofriense.
