Cape Evans is located on the western coast of Ross Island. It was discovered by Robert Falcon Scott in the early 1900s, and the headquarters hut built during that expedition still exists today. Due to the site's historic significance and its connection to early human activity in Antarctica, Cape Evans is listed as an Antarctic Specially Protected Area.
