It's also possible to renew your wedding vows at sea. Vow renewal programs
and vow renewal packages are much like weddings and wedding packages, except
without the headache of calculating license fees! You are not required to
obtain a marriage license or any other legal document before your vow renewal
service. All you will need with you is proof that your marriage is valid.
A marriage license is sufficient. As with weddings, once you decide you want
to renew your vows, you need to select a cruise and book it. Then we will
put you in touch with a wedding coordinator or special services agent to
design the perfect ceremony. The Vacations To Go Group Department is open

Important Information
The Renewal of Marriage Vows Ceremony is symbolic in nature and has no legal or binding effect. Couples with different last names are required to furnish proof of marriage. Arrangements for the time and location of the ceremony will be made onboard with the Group's Coordinator. We will be unable to grant requests to perform the ceremony on embarkation days or formal nights. Should a circumstance arise whereby the Ship's Captain is unable to perform the ceremony, or the time and location of the ceremony must be changed, Carnival will either reschedule the Ceremony or it shall be conducted by another level of management at the sole discretion of Carnival. Carnival shall have no liability for any compensation or other damages to the wedding couple or any of their guests due to any change.

Re-pledge your love with a vow renewal ceremony performed by the captain on one of Crystal's beautiful ships. The captain may perform vow renewal ceremonies, provided it is pre-arranged with On Board Guest Services. Guests are welcome to use the public rooms on board to conduct a ceremony, provided that arrangements are made with OBGS prior to sailing. They will then, in turn, coordinate with the ship.
A standard package is offered for guests who wish to renew their wedding vows onboard. Packages include a certificate and the following:

How to request your special benefits
To enjoy your Anniversary or Honeymoon benefits, all you need to do is advise your Vacations To Go cruise counselor at the time of booking and send in confirmation of your wedding date (via a copy of your marriage certificate, for example). To be eligible for your benefit, your Anniversary or Honeymoon must fall within two months of your voyage date and your voyage must be 6 nights or longer.
All registrations for these benefits must be received by Cunard at least 2 weeks prior to departure. Cunard regrets that it cannot accept any registrations onboard. All benefits shown above are per couple.

This section details special requisites for hosting a Cruise Vow Renewal on the Disney Cruise Line.
Travel Documents
All U.S. and Canadian citizens must travel with proof of citizenship, such as a valid passport, or certified birth certificate with picture identification, or a certified naturalization certificate with picture identification. Children 17 and under who are U.S. and Canadian citizens are only required to have proof of citizenship (no picture identification).
All guests who are non-U.S. citizens residing in the United States will be required to travel with their Alien Registration Card (Green Card) and valid passports. All other guests must have valid passports and necessary visas at time of embarkation. Please consult with your travel agent, government agencies, embassies or consulates to determine specific documentary requirements.
Your Guests
We know that during a very special time such as this, you may want to invite those closest to you to share in your joy. That's why we've made unique arrangements for you to invite up to eight guests. Please advise us of guest names and reservation numbers so that they can be cross-referenced as part of your wedding party.
Payment for Enhancements
Enhancements selected in addition to the standard Cruise packages will be billed 30 days prior to departure.
Some enhancements (i.e. - floral enhancements) may require advance credit card payment if the service / product originates from a Walt Disney World® Resort entity or outside vendor.

What is a Disney Wedding/Vow Renewal going to cost?
The wedding/Vow Renewal package is an add-on to an existing cruise reservation. Castaway Cay Wedding $3,500.00/Vow Renewal $2,500.00. Onboard Wedding $2,500.00/Vow Renewal $1,500.00.
What's the payment and deposit schedule for a Disney Wedding/Vow Renewal?
There must be a deposit on the Cruise booking in order to book the space for a Wedding or Vow Renewal package. The final payment is due at the same time as final payment for the cruise booking. The Wedding or Vow Renewal add-on becomes a part of the whole cruise booking.
When can I reserve my Wedding/Vow Renewal date?
Cruise Weddings can be booked 12 months in advance of your departure date (based on availability).
Does Disney offer any kind of photography and videography service for my event?
Yes, photo packages only. Unfortunately we do not offer any videography packages aboard the ship at this time. But you are more than welcome to bring your personal video camera to capture your big day.
I love Mickey and Minnie. Could they act as Best Man and Maid of Honor at our Wedding/Vow Renewal?
We're sorry, but our famous Disney Characters are not available to participate in the actual ceremony in any way. However, based upon limited availability, Characters may be able to make an appearance at the Cake and Champagne Celebration following the ceremony. Please contact your wedding coordinator for further information.
Is there a spa where my bridesmaids and I can pamper ourselves before our event?
Ah, yes. The Vista Spa and Salon is available onboard exclusively for adult guests 18 years of age or older. There you can take advantage of all the latest spa therapies, treatments, and beauty regimens.
I know that the Adult Only Alternative Restaurant, "Palo" is for adults only, however my children that are in my Wedding Party are teenagers and very well behaved, will they be able to join me for my Palo dinner?
Please be advised that Palo is reserved for Guests age 18 and older. For the enjoyment of all our adult Guests, there will not be any exceptions made to this policy. If your desire is to have a family dining experience on the night of your ceremony, please attend your regular dining rotation so that all family members can celebrate. You may choose to have your intimate dining experience for two on another evening.
Can I have a "Sunset" ceremony on the beach at Castaway Cay or Onboard on an outside deck?
All ceremonies either Onboard or at Castaway Cay have set days and times that the ceremonies are held.
Can I pre-order stateroom gifts for my guests?
Yes, they can be ordered through the Disney Cruise Line Amenities Department: (go to www.disneycruiseline.com, then My Disney Cruise for Gifts & Amenity options).
If I bring my own stateroom gifts for my guests, can they be delivered to my guests' staterooms by a Disney Cruise Line staff member?
Yes, you can arrange that through your Wedding Coordinator before you sail.
What is the maximum guest count for a Disney Cruise Line Wedding/Vow Renewal?
80 guests, please discuss additional options with your Wedding Coordinator.
Who will be performing my Wedding/Vow Renewal ceremony?
For an Onboard ceremony, a Disney Cruise Line Senior Officer will perform all ceremonies. On Castaway Cay, a Bahamian Administrator (Government Official) will perform all ceremonies.
Where will I be legally married?
A Florida Marriage License is included in your Disney Cruise Line Wedding Package. Since our Captains cannot perform legal ceremonies, the legalities of the wedding license will actually be taken care of before your Disney ship leaves Port Canaveral.
Is there a limit to how many Wedding/Vow Renewal ceremonies can be performed per sailing?
Yes, two Onboard ceremonies per sailing and one ceremony at Castaway Cay
Can my Daughter that is not 18 years old yet, but is in my "Maid of Honor", get her hair done in the salon with me on my wedding day?
Vista Spa and Salon is exclusively for our adult Guests 18 years of age or older. For the enjoyment of all our adult Guests, there will not be any exceptions made to this policy.
Can I get my Wedding/Vow Renewal dress steamed onboard the ship?
Yes, Dress Steaming is available onboard the ship for less formal wedding dresses. More elaborate gowns (beaded, intricate) may require more attention than is available. (There is no charge for steaming of the Bridal Gown or the Groom's attire. Additional guest items may incur a fee.)
Renewal of Vows at Half Moon Cay ($89)
Guests that visit Half Moon Cay, the company's own island paradise, on Holland America Line Caribbean and Panama Canal cruises may renew their wedding vows on the island in a private, traditional Bahamian chapel nestled in a garden overlooking the sea. This is a more casual ceremony than on board and participants are encouraged to wear their favorite tropical attire. Champagne and cake are served after the ceremony. Each couple is photographed on the island and the photo is delivered to their stateroom in a souvenir frame. Arrangements for renewal of vows at the chapel may be made through the Guest Relations Manager at the Front Office on board the ship.

Vow Renewal Guidelines:
Your Cruise Program Administrator will coordinate arrangements for the date, time and location of your vow renewal once you are onboard. Unfortunately, requests for ceremonies on the day of sailing or on formal days/nights cannot be accommodated. Please allow a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to sailing for Royal Romance to make arrangements for your vow renewal ceremony. For additional options, please review the “Ceremony Enhancements” section. Please note: unfortunately, floral upgrades are not available. This is not a legal ceremony; bridal couples with different last names will need to bring proof of marriage. Bridal couples must be married at least one (1) year. A copy of the marriage license must be provided for verification.
