Viking provides regional specialties as well as traditional European cuisine to whet the appetite after a long day of sightseeing. Whether enjoying one of the homemade pastries during afternoon tea or savoring an elegant dinner, the onboard cuisine is sure to please.
Main Dining Room Policies: Viking guests will enjoy open seating at every meal.
Dress Code: For evenings, while there are no “formal nights,” the recommended onboard dress is "elegant casual" for most restaurants. Suggested attire for ladies includes a dress, skirt or slacks with a sweater or blouse; for gentlemen, slacks and a collared shirt. A tie and jacket are optional but not required. Dinner in The World Café remains comfortable and casual, and daytime dress is appropriate here.
Beverage Policy: Complimentary wine, beer & soft drinks are offered during onboard dinner and lunch service.
Special Requests: Every meal has vegetarian options and chefs will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests. Guests requiring special diets -- low salt, low sugar, gluten-free and low cholesterol -- should alert Viking 90 days prior to departure and inform the Maître d’ when on board.
All dining rooms on Viking's ships are smoke-free.
