Cruises from Vancouver travel to Alaska each summer, from May through September. Travelers can choose an Inside Passage itinerary through Alaska’s glacier country, which travels as far north as Skagway or Juneau, or they can opt for a Gulf of Alaska vacation that cruises through the Inside Passage and beyond to Seward/Anchorage. Get a more in-depth look at Alaska with a cruise tour, which combines a sailing with a land tour to Denali National Park, the Canadian Rockies or the Yukon. Land tours typically include travel by motor coach or rail, with stays in wilderness lodges.

Repositioning cruises from Vancouver are available at the end of the Alaska sailing season, when cruise lines relocate their ships to departure ports farther south.

Vancouver is located in the southwest corner of British Columbia in western Canada. It lies about three hours north of Seattle, WA, by car. If driving to Vancouver from the United States, allow for extra time at the border crossing, which can get busy, especially during holidays and long weekends.
