Anano Island, part of the Wakatobi Archipelago, is located along the eastern edge of the archipelago and faces directly into the Buru and Banda seas. The island is home to some endangered species, and has been dubbed Thousand Turtle Island for the many turtles who come here to lay their eggs. Anano is also known for its beautiful landscape, and travelers should not miss the opportunity to see the sunset on the beach.
