Brunsbuttel, Germany

Located in the district of Dithmarschen, the Port of Brunsbuttel sits at the mouth of the Elbe River near the North Sea. It serves as an entrance to the Kiel Canal in the state of Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany. Schleswig-Holstein blends Danish and German aspects of culture, and the beautiful manors and castles in the countryside are the best example of this tradition. Schleswig-Holstein is also home to Wadden Sea National Park, the largest national park in Central Europe.
